This cocktail came to me with age. Sadly, the more time I spend behind the bar, the more my body rebels. The 20 years of late nights wearing the wrong shoes (can you believe I used to tend bar in Dr. Martin’s or Converse) and double shaking tumblers full of cold draft ice while leaning over a poorly placed ice well has taken a toll on every tendon and joint in my body. I got into a bad habit of taking anti-inflammatory medications-that I later found out are really bad on your liver. So, in my attempt to find natural ways to heal my body I started ingesting turmeric in every form. I was eating it, drinking it, rubbing it on my swollen knees and popping turmeric pills like they were Pez. So naturally this led me to make a cocktail that features turmeric as a main ingredient. Let's pretend that we are doing something good for ourselves while enjoying this "healthy" cocktail.
