When coming up with this cocktail my intent was to create a riff on a Monte Carlo/Old Fashioned that was really smooth and easy to drink but wasn't too sweet. This cocktail is smooth as silver.
Ingredients
1½ oz Buffalo Trace Bourbon
½ oz Rittenhouse Rye
½ oz Kings Ginger Liqueur
½ oz Brown sugar syrup*
2 dashes Angostura Bitters
1 dash Peychaud's Bitters
Instructions
Add all ingredients, stir, strain into a rocks glass with one large cube. Garnish with an orange peel and rosemary sprig.
*To make brown sugar syrup, follow the instructions for demerara syrup using brown sugar instead.
