My first ever variation on a Manhattan. I simply thought about taking a Manhattan into more forest like with its aromatics by rinsing the glass with Green Chartreuse. I immediately thought about a classic NY name. But since this was prior to the internet explosion of cocktails, I couldn’t verify if anyone had called a drink a Central Park. So, let’s just add ‘West’ to it just in case since we’re out here in Anaheim.
Ingredients
1 ½ oz bourbon
½ oz Punt E Mes Vermouth
½ oz Benedictine
2 dashes orange bitters
Rinse glass with Green Chartreuese
Instructions
Stir and strain. Serve in a martini or coupe glass.
