I was given the task of creating a series of drinks celebrating the products of Coca-Cola for a 5-course dinner many years ago. How can you not do a dinner like that without serving a Rum & Coke or Cuba Libre! Well how about going more global and pay tribute to the national drink of Argentina, the Fernet & Coke. Best part is the menu from that night sits in the archives of Coca-Cola! That’s kind of cool. Probably more accurate to serve in a Highball glass but whatever!
Ingredients
1 oz Appleton Estate 12yr Jamaican Rum
1/4 oz Fernet Branca
1/4 oz Fresh Lime Juice
1/4 oz Simple Syrup
Top with Coca Cola
Instructions
Shake and strain measured ingredients and strain into glass. Add Ice and top with Coca Cola. Garnish with Lime Wheel.
